Reiki Symbols

(From the book True Spirit of Reiki by Naran S Balakumar)

There are totally six symbols.

Drawing Symbols

The symbols get the life, when you draw the symbol and chant the name of symbols thrice. When you utter the mantra thrice the symbol gets activated.

For practice we are drawing the symbol in the note-book afterwards we have to draw the symbol in the air.

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen

First symbol is called HON SHA ZE SHO NEN.

The first symbol is not a symbol but it is a Japanese script. The meaning of the symbol is – “I am in the right direction, and I am silent”. What is right direction? When you are silent you will be in the right direction. I am in right direction, and silent to know my true nature, which is shining like a light. That light is divine.

In other words the whole script says that you are Atman. The Atman is healing and not the mind. That means you should be detached from the healing. When you say Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, you are outside the body and you are just witnessing what is happening.

In that manner, it is the connecting symbol for your own Atman. The Atman only can give light and not our mind because our mind is always in darkness. It is Atman which provides the light to the mind. I am in the right direction means, “I am the Atman who is doing the healing”.

Zonar

What is work of this symbol? It helps to remove the congestion. Whatever be the problem area, we have to first cleanse and clear the congestion. Zonar does that work.

Sei He Ki

Once the congestion is released, where will it go? It has to find some place. The congestion moves from one place to another. So Sei He Ki makes the congestion into powder and sends them into the space. The congestion energy is dissipated into the space.

The Zonar removes the congestion and Sei He Ki sends it back to the universe for reprocessing.

Rama

What does it do? The organ or the problem, after the congestion is removed is weak, because of not receiving energy. This symbol gives strength to the organ or body.

Shanti

Next is Shanti. This symbol gives Reiki to the organ or body. Shanti is the energizing symbol and working through pink color. That is love and Reiki is nothing but love. That means the divine love is given by Shanti.

Cho Ku Rei

After giving the divine love you have to realign the organ or system to the divine flow and create harmony. That is taken care of by another symbol called Cho Ku Rei. The harmony is restored by Cho Ku Rei.

Prayer for Abundance

For you, your parents, family and friends

Draw all the Reiki symbols.

“Reiki! Flow through me for the next 15 minutes and fill up Dakini Devi of my basic chakra with Reiki, expressing my thanks and gratitude. Bring the necessary golden magnetic rays of abundance to fill up all my chakras, all cells of my body, all consciousness of my mind, fill up all my father’s chakras, all cells of my father’s body and all of his consciousness”.

You may do the same for other members of your family, your friends and relatives.

How Our Reactions to Problems Affect Us

Problems appear in pranic body first

All our problems enter the physical body only after entering our energy body.

Say for example, you are having some problem in the knee, liver or stomach means that one or two months prior to this, the energy body is affected in that particular area.

So maintaining the clean energy body, by realigning the energy body to the flow of Divine energy, you are cleansing, clearing and energizing and preventing the physical problem.

Our thoughts and emotions affects our energy levels

The energy body is also connected to the mind. In other words, mind is also energy. Every thought is energy and every emotion is energy too.

If you have feelings of joy and enthusiasm or any positive emotions and if you have positive thoughts then you are positively contributing to the energy. When he is in a joyful mood he can run 10 miles. If the same person is sad and depressed he cannot run even 1 mile. It means the unwanted emotions – sadness, worries or fears will dampen the energy. They will pull down the energy level by deviating from the energy flow.

Our thoughts and emotions affects our body and organs too

That means our own thoughts, thinking process and emotions have a definite impact on the energy body and in turn on the physical body.

That means each and every organ is connected to the energy body/etheric body mentally as well as etherically. Therefore, our mental thoughts and emotions will have an impact on the physical organs.

However, anger will affect only certain organs, sadness and depression will affect some other organ, and worry will affect some other. For example, while liver is affected by anger, then it will not be affected by worry.

So each and every organ is specific about receiving a particular energy. As far as the receiving of energy is concerned, it is the chakra which decides that, because each and every chakra is connected to certain organs.

When the energy is received in the form of light, each and every chakra is specific in receiving only one color. In that way the energy field is processed and maintained by the energy body.

How does Reiki works

Part IV of the article, “What is Reiki”

Excerpts from the book, “True Spirit of Reiki”

Reiki works in a simple manner, that is, through symbols. There are certain Reiki symbols which work and bring in the energy of Divine.

The energy (pranic) body is energized or the Divine energy is processed by seven chakras.

Light is also a form of energy. Light is of different colours. You like certain colours and you do not like certain colours. From the space, from the light or from the Sun God, we receive energy in the form of light. When you receive excess of Red colour, some red has to be eliminated and some red has to be stored.

Each and every chakra, maintains the pranic body.

Getting Energy Using Reiki

Part III of the article, “What is Reiki”

Excerpts from the book, “True Spirit of Reiki”

Do we get energy only from the food we eat?

In the physical body each and every organ in the body is working for the welfare of the body and during this process they spend energy. How do you get this energy back?

We think it is by taking food. Yes by taking food we get energy. Is that the only way of getting the energy? The answer is no. We also get energy or the Divine flow through air, space, inhalation and exhalation. It is a total process.

How does divine energy operates in the body?

The whole body or the organs are maintained by the flow of energy in the pranic body or the auric body that surrounds our physical body.

How the energy is operated? The energy that flows to the body and to the organs is connected to the energy body, which is called as the Pranic body, Ki body or Reiki body. That energy body is directly connected with the Divine Energy Ball.

If you learn about this flow or energy, how it maintains the body and how the energy body is maintained then your Reiki learning is over.

Advantages of using Reiki

What is Reiki? Correcting the body or correcting the particular organ or realigning the organ to the Divine flow is Reiki.

What are the additional things we get out of Reiki? You can get your intention or desire fulfilled by Reiki. There is a method by which you can do that. You can improve your relationships with the help of Reiki. Reiki is not only for the physical body, but also for the entire life of yours. You can cleanse and energize your environment, your house and everything else through Reiki. You can prepare Reiki water and drink that water and so on.

True Spirit of Reiki Part II: Tackling problems using Reiki

Excerpts from the book, “True Spirit of Reiki”

Why we have problems in Life?

When we are also connected to the (Universal) Divine Flow why should we have so much of problems? Why should we have so much of physical problems?

There is a problem in life and there is a problem in the body and ultimately we die. That means, whenever the problems comes it is a reminder that we are not synchronized with or in alignment with the Divine Flow. The problems remind us that, we are not in the Divine Flow. You have just deviated from the flow of Divinity and therefore, you have to correct yourself.

Realign your life with Reiki

That is the message of the Divine Energy Ball. But unfortunately we do not listen to that, and we continue to move away from the flow of energy. Reiki is one technique by which the realignment of our thoughts and emotions, realignment of the body and realignment of system takes place.

That means the Divine energy is ever ready to help us. It is we who do not seek help. Help is nearest when the need is greatest.

When some problem comes we think that we are able to solve the problem and we do not surrender. When the problem goes beyond our hand then only we think of praying. Surrender comes only at a later stage.

Why we have to be initiated into Reiki? By getting initiated into Reiki, your energy flow is realigned to the Divine flow.

Doesn’t the Reiki practitioner face any problems in life then?

Then you can ask a question, are people who are already initiated into Reiki are in Divine flow? Are they healthy? Don’t they have any problems in life?

Yes they face problems too, but a correct Reiki practitioner will not worry about the problem. He will accept the problem and wait for the solution to happen instead of going for the problem solving. If anybody practices in that manner the problem remains only as an incident.

True Spirit of Reiki Part I

Excerpts from the forthcoming book, “True Spirit of Reiki”

What is Reiki

Reiki means the energy of God (or universe). The energy that is available in the entire universe is also available within us. Reiki is a Japanese word. Rei means Universe and Ki means energy. Energy means, an ever-flowing energy and ever giving universal energy.

Energy inside is same as energy outside

The man is composed of the physical body. To operate the body some energy is required. Each and every organ in the body and each and every system in the body are permeated by the flow of Reiki.

If the same energy is available inside the body is also available outside the body means, there should be some uniform flow of energy or some form of connection between them.

We are connected to a permanent source of energy

Assume a ball of energy which is 10000 times bigger than the Sun God. The Divine ball is always Purnam (complete by itself). It means whatever energy is spent for the sustenance of the universe will never be depleted.

How do we replenish our energy?

But as a human being, even if we walk for about 10 minutes our energy is depleted.

How to replenish this energy throughout our life is the basic approach of Reiki.

Turn the anger away

When I met Balakumar and told him about my mother who is 85 years old, he asked me to learn chakra rotation, to become composed instead of getting angry, whenever my mother throws tantrums.

I learnt energizing of Chakras, rotating them clock-wise from Shobana, as instructed by Balakumar last week. I tried the same at my home.

The very next morning, I went to my mother, who was always angry for no reason. I quickly rotated mentally, my Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras clock-wise, at optimum speed, to receive the Universal Divine Energy.

As I neared my mother, she SMILED. I asked her how the breakfast was. She will normally criticize something at least. That is how the whole anger drama starts. However on that day, she just said, “The Idli and chutney was SUPER. Thank you”.  I have not received this “thanks” or “love” from her, for the last three years.

Thank you Shobana, thank you Naran and thank you Reiki!!!

 Mangala Ayre

When somebody is angry against us, it is normal for us to retaliate. In terms of energy, it shows that we are sympathetically resonating with the other person.

Anger attracts anger. When there is anger, the solar plexus chakra rotates anti-clockwise, projecting or sending out our emotions outside, and thus maintaining our anger.

Instead of thinking why that person is angry and trying to change him, we concentrate on ourselves. We look within and intentionally rotate the solar plexus clock-wise. When any chakra rotates clock-wise, it comes back to receiving mode – receiving universal energy. When it starts receiving energy, our anger subsides and therefore there will be a shift in our energy field. Then the opposite person has to change too.

To bring the anger down, the solar plexus chakra has to rotate at optimum speed and that too clock-wise. In addition, when the heart chakra also rotates clockwise, it receives universal energy (love) and love will be generated inside our heart and will flow to the opposite person.
